Similarly, few priest in catholic church, without, their knowledge, get this, mainly due to converting of bread to Holy Eucharist. This special power,they get is to serve the people not to develop pride. Ultimately, any doubts about faith to be cleared by the devotees,are ignored!.
Basic negative effect of politician is pride. When you develop pride, YOU LOOSE KNOWLEDGE. That is why politicians normally says" WHEN YOU IN POWER-NO BRAIN; WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN POWER-YOU ARE BRAINY."
This is normal even church-going catholics or certain active priests, slowing down the missionary work.
