(2) What make society to blind their vision towards poor? Why we should pray for our leaders?

Reflection for 25th september 2016 we are in Cycle 3: celebrating 26th Ordinary Sunday mass,Inviting us to analyze whether you are opportunistic with God. Opportunistic means exploiting chance offered by immediate circumstances without reference to general plan or moral principle.
When you are rich with Money or knowledge, you tend to forget that those richness that you are having is coming from God, and you try to act like God,forgetting HIS instructions to you.
Instead you can be rich, but try to follow God's will, you can be happy in this life, as well as the life, after death too.
Who is the rich man in today's Gospel?. Jesus did not give him a name, although he name the beggar Lazarus, who lie at the gate, covered with sores.
Jesus let's us give a name to the rich man and may be HE is hinting you!.
Jesus high Lighted the rich man indifference in the plight of starving Lazarus. Did you feel anyway guilty about it yourself.
When you are physically powerful,(means you have money+power), you tend to think that you are always correct. You can carry out actions for ulterior motives or persona, like crooked manger in the Gospel. He did not trust God,for his future, at his difficult time, instead, he implemented dishonesty and corruption. But Jesus praise him for his foresight, indicating as catholic we should know our ultimate goal is to achieve eternal happiness, and lead the present life to achieve that
Let us further analyze about power fullness?
Normally U think powerful means,you can do what ever you want?.is it correct?. Actually you don't know, what is happening inside your skin, in your body. If any one of your organs malfunction, U have to consult another person/doctor. So you are powerless. When you want to eat a loaf of bread,you depend upon many persons,otherwise you will not get it. For you to live,you need support of another human,otherwise it will become difficult. If you carry out my action, I become Powerful,but if you don't I become powerless. So powerful means how much I can influence to control other people but with respect to 'Me' I am powerless. To become POWERFUL,you need another person support,hence you haver to love them. This is what all religion says.
God decided your Parents for you to be here. Hence human belongs to one family,with God as the Father & as catholic you have more duty to look after poor lazarus's at your house gate. Otherwise you imitate rich man given in to days parable?. The opportunity given by God to you is lost.
To days parable allows us to reflect another important factor of Catholicism.
The rich man says to father Abraham," If someone only go to them-from the dead, then they would repent" Abraham reply negatively! Why?
Let analyse To days readings:
1st Reading:
Amos 6:1,4-7, says A stern warning to the complacent people who live luxuriously and neglect the needy.
Paul exhorts Timothy(1 TIM 6:11-16) to recall and live according to the profession of faith he made at his baptism
Gospel Lk 16:19-31 says. The parable of a rich man who lives And feasts sumptuously and ignores the plight of poor Lazarus, who lies at his gate.
There are 2 major reflections derived from today's Gospel:
(1) Major slogan of Catholicism, love thy neighbor- specially look after the needy people- carry out charitable actions
(2) How to develop faith, do you need miracles to understand GOD or Catholicism?
1 st point to analyze:
We have to be clear about the reason why the rich man is condemn to hell. It is not being rich, but for being callous and indifferent to the beggar at his gate. For him Lazarus simply does not exist. His self indulgence and gluttony has blinded his vision.
2 nd point; why Abraham denied to send lazarus to tell story for living?
No death person, has ever come to this world to tell about the story of what has happened after his death, no body has written a book for us to read!. You know you are able walk due to gravitational force, which you cannot see. If you are in moon, you cannot walk,you can float only, why?, because gravitational force in the moon is 6 times less than the earth, that is why you float. Catholicism is similar to that. You know God exist. You know that you don't know 100% out come for you actions. Identify this spiritual gravitational force: don't expect earth bound miracles for you to understand God. Holy Spirit has beautifully organized sacraments for us to understand and get to know about God.
Sacraments are the instruments where Christ communicate His Spirit, and to receive the grace of God thru' the sacraments to all members of the church, who thus bear the fruits of new life of the spirit.
There are 7 sacraments: baptism, confirmation,holy Eucharist, Penance, anointing sick,holy orders and matrimony.
Thru' these sacraments, divine life will bestow upon human.
Sacramental character is a spiritual" seal" bestowed by the sacrament of baptism, confirmation an holy orders. It is a promise and guarantee of divine protection. By virtue of this seal the Christian is configured to christ, participate in the variety of ways in his priesthood and takes his part in the church according to different state and functions He is therefore set apart for divine worship,and the service of the church. Because this character is indelible the sacraments which impress it on the soul received only once in life.
The sacraments not only presuppose faith, but with words and ritual elements they nourish,strengthen and expresses it. By celebrating the sacraments the church professes the faith that comes from apostles.
The sacraments are efficacious
Because it is christ who acts in the sacrament and communicate the grace they signify. The efficacy of the sacraments does not depend the personal holiness of the minister, however, the fruits of the sacraments do depend on the dispositions of the one who receive them.
For believers in Christ the sacraments,even if they are not given to each of the faithful, are necessary for salvation because they confer sacramental grace, forgiveness of sins, adoption as children of God, conformed to christ the lord and membership in the church. The holy Spirit heals and transforms those who receive sacraments.
So thru' sacraments, as catholics, you are opportune to realize who is your God, no need for you to find another evidences
You your self will feel thru' developing the faith. This is one of the major differences you realize from Catholicism with another religion.
In conclusion:
Jesus who speaks today,tell HE loves you, and deeply concern about your personal spiritual goal,but HE also warns you about what will happen to you,if you refuse to listen to HIM and to take HIM seriously.
